We both grew up on farms in Central Canada. Both of us were born in the late 60’s but we really didn’t know of each other until our church youth groups got together in the mid 80’s.
Roll the clock forward a few decades and you find us happily married for over 30 years. After raising our three awesome, now adult kids in Minnesota, we decided it was time to head to greener (and warmer) pastures, and landed in Florida! We LOVE it here despite the whining of some when it’s 93F. It’s also General Aviation Central.
When we were first married we had a dream of some day building our own airplane. Realizing recently that we are approaching our mid-50’s, we decided we should get started soon as tomorrow is promised to no one.
We decided July 2020, during Covid, that we’d better get started as we’ve got about 2000 hours of building ahead of us. A wise person once told us, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!”
This is a blog of our RV-10 build and our flying adventures. Enjoy!

Food for thought
Whether you think you can or you can’t, either way you are right.
Henry Ford
Life can be much broader, once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call ‘life’ was made up by people that were no smarter than you.
Steve Jobs
Flying the airplane is more important than radioing your plight to a person on the ground incapable of understanding or doing anything about it.
